Breathwork Sessions with Nadja Girod

Breathe with me

We breathe all day, every day, without giving it much thought. In a Breathwork session, we do something different: for a while, we bring our full attention to the breath.

I’ll guide you through a period of conscious, deeper breathing and invite you to stay curious about what happens along the way.

Every session is different. You might find your mind becoming very quiet, feel more connected to your body, or notice emotions coming to the surface. What you experience will depend on how you breathe and what’s going on for you that day.

There’s nothing you need to achieve and nowhere in particular you need to get to. Whatever comes up is welcome, and I’ll be there with you as you explore.

So, who is Nadja?

I’m Nadja. I’m a textile designer and have been teaching screen printing classes and workshops for many years.

Breathwork first came into my life as something I did for myself: functional breathing exercises to help with fear of flying, and energising breathwork in the mornings before a cold shower.

I love how directly our breath can affect the way we feel, and how much can shift when we give it our full attention for a while.

At some point, I realised I didn’t want to keep Breathwork just as a practice of my own. I want to share my enthusiasm for Breathwork with other people and learn how to support them in their own experience.

That’s why I’m currently training as a Breathwork facilitator with Naou in Berlin. I’ll complete my training in November 2026.

I’m already offering one-to-one sessions and would now like to do more work with groups.

Sessions

Breathwork in Berlin

I offer guided Breathwork sessions of around one hour, for individuals and groups.

We start by taking a little time to arrive and talk through what we’re going to do. Then we move into the breathing session itself, with time at the end to slow down, notice how you’re feeling and share anything you’d like to talk about.

You don’t need any previous experience with Breathwork.

I'm enjoying developing new Breathwork formats around different themes – exploring movement, connecting with ourselves, or taking a playful approach to breathing.

Some ideas I'm working on: Breathe into the Day, Breathing with Anger and Taking Your Inner Child by the Hand.

These formats are still in development. I'll share dates here once they're confirmed.

Languages: German / English

Contraindications

Breathwork is an intense practice in which we consciously change the way we breathe. This can have a strong effect on both the body and our emotions.

However, Breathwork isn’t suitable for everyone or in every situation.

Below you’ll find a list of contraindications to help you decide whether Breathwork is suitable for you at the moment.

If you’re unsure about anything, please get in touch with me or speak to your doctor or therapist beforehand. Your safety and wellbeing come first.

Please don’t take part in an intensive Breathwork session if any of the following apply to you:

  • recent surgery or serious injury
  • osteoporosis
  • glaucoma
  • pregnancy
  • acute or severe cardiovascular conditions
  • uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • a recent or previous stroke
  • epilepsy or other seizure disorders
  • acute psychosis or certain severe psychiatric conditions
  • an acute infection or fever
  • active addiction

If any of the following apply to you, you may still be able to take part, but please talk to me beforehand:

  • asthma or COPD
  • controlled high blood pressure
  • a history of severe trauma, such as sexual violence or other experiences of violence

Depending on your situation, we can adapt the breathing technique or it may be a good idea to speak to your doctor or therapist before taking part.

Breathwork is not a substitute for medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.
